I think I’m addicted to ipods > 30/01/2008
Ok so I bought my 4th ipod the other day. Until now I had a shuffle for the gym and wondering around, a touch for watching videos and surfing the web and a 30GB ipod for when I needed all my music (or at least most of it) with me. But I couldn’t resist buying a new nano. My 30GB ipod did make a funny noise a while ago and run slowly for a few minutes so I assumed it was on it’s way out, it’s still going so I may have jumped the gun on that one. And a recent trip to the duty free dixons in Gatwick airport saw me buying an 8GB ipod nano to replace it.
The new nano is incredibly cute, it looks much better in your hand then in pictures. The 8GB size is enough for me to carry a wide selection of music around with me as long as I don’t fill it up with videos (after all I have the touch for that). And the size is small enough to slip into a pocket and forget about without having to hunt for it like i do with my shuffle.
All in all if you want an mp3 player for music i think it’s a better proposition than the ipod classic as it’s much more portable, and cheaper. With no moving parts to damage I’m hoping it will last longer as well and be more resistant to knocks. But knowing me I’ll buy the next ipod before it gets the chance.
